Best Smartphones for around 20k

You can find probably millions and zillions of such list on googling the title of my post. Then why on earth should i make another one? The answer lies in 6 months of pure frustration for not getting a phone despite having 20k in hands and despite having millions and zillions of such lists. I can say with utmost confidence and proof that each and every single list is SHIT! No offence to anyone who made those list, but i have to say that all those live in a cave far far away from modern world. 

The list of phones below is what according to me are worth buying if your budget is around 20k. Some of the listed phones might still not be launched in India, but its worth knowing what you can get if you wait a while before making up your mind. I really hope that this will clear out most of your doubts and confusion. If you have a friend in US, then please do order the phone, don't wait for India release coz recently the prizes are absolutely ridiculous here. We all know the cons, but its anyday more profitable and sensible to get a phone from abroad which is priced twice here. You are gonna throw it away in one year anyway so those who are not 'warranty-freaks' shouldn't care much about it. Only those specs are mentioned which are worth mentioning. Also the list is not in any order so don't pull the trigger on me without reading this line.

1. Samsung Galaxy Grand 

PRICE - 21,000/-

Looks like Samsung is leaving no stones unturned and demolishing any sort of competition in mobile industry. Just 2 days back, Samsung announced a mid-range phablet called Galaxy Grand. Pretty much justifying its name, the phone features a behemoth 5 inch screen and packs in a lot of beef too. Phone comes with 1.2 Ghz dual core processor with 1GB RAM and BROADCOM VIDEOCORE IV GPU. One big flaw other than same old cheap, dull and boring design is the display. WVGA display, low reso (400X850) at a meager 187ppi justifies the generous price tag. For those looking for big screen phones with good hardware at very affordable price, look no further that Galaxy Grand.

Status in India : Still not launched officially, available on ebay india for 23k.

Still wondering how this behemoth of a phone is available at such a puny price? Well even i couldn't believe my eyes. No wonder its getting out of stock even before you blink your eyes. Only con is non expandable memory (Quite stupidity) but just look at the specs !!!

3. Nokia LUMIA 820

Lumia series is probably the only reason why Nokia is still standing its ground even after being meddled by other companies. Actually Lumia series is much bigger than we(majority) think, simply because we(again referring to majority) don't know anything about windows OS except its cons. Thanks to amazing, innovative, blazing fast and beautiful Windows phone 7.5(onwards) OS for turning our heads which were buried inside android and ios. Its like a ray of light or an angel from heaven for those who haven't seen light of the day since android is introduced. With windows 8, lot of improvements have been done and finally people are realizing the power of windows. With 1.2 lac apps already available, another batch of 4 lac upcoming apps and easy portability of android n ios apps, the empty room is finally getting filled with hot chicks(apps). Don't think much and dive into the world of windows 8 with this upcoming budget phone LUMIA 820. It may be little costly to be included on the list but their is no reason not to look out for this beautiful piece of hardware from Nokia which is as good in performance as it looks.

Recent onslaught of samsung has had a great effect on customers as other companies are forced to drop prices to stay in the competition. For that specs, its a blind deal. If only you are not a samsung fanboy, go with this superb phone from LG.

And its finally out in India with perfect pricing. Available in two colors fiesta red and Antique Blue, both looking very very pretty. A beautiful Windows phone this time by HTC. This will be the perfect phone for those with tight budget who are looking to switch OS and try the new windows experience. Biggest competitor will be Lumia 620, a shade better specs with horrible, cheap design, i don't think it will topple 8S but let's see.

7. SAMSUNG GALAXY S II

This phone arguably proved to be the turning point for Samsung. Personally I believe it is the best phone Samsung ever made till now. Even after more than a year of its launch, the craze for S2 never died and it is still regarded as the kind of mid-end smartphones. Despite having seen a flurry of dual and quad core smartphones released this year, there is no substantial change in price of Galaxy S2 which is quite surprising. Nevertheless, you can always find a 2nd hand S2 no matter where you are. Try olx and you can find tons of  amazing deals. Most of the people have kept their precious phone in mint condition. Price range from as low as 12,000 upto 20,000. There is absolutely no harm in going for those. A phone that never gets old.
