TESTING

Page Loading :

Starting with the basic site loading speed. Nba.com is fairly heavy site with loads of pics, videos and widgets which is perfect for testing. Flash was enabled on both tabs. With exactly same conditions both tabs were put to test.

Shocking result !

iPad 2 : 8 seconds

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 : 5 seconds

Galaxy Tab almost twice as fast in page loading as iPad 2. Our jaws dropped to ankle. Even our viewers may not have expected this.But hey ! this is just a beginning, let's see how they perform under maximum stress.

Application Download :

Only thing that comes to mind is world's most popular game 'Angry Birds'. So quickly we set up the download process. However there is a slight difference of 0.1mb in size of both versions of game (for android n for iOS 4). Due to some technical difficulties we have to alter the test. As there is no way to confirm when download finishes and install begins in iPad 2, we stopped the clock the moment download finishes. But in Galaxy Tab we stopped it after installation of game.

Result :

iPad 2 : 17 seconds

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 : 21 seconds

Results may not be accurate but it gives a slight idea of which one is better though marginally.

Facebook Photo upload :

We clicked pics from both the tabs and uploaded them on FB. There is a small thing which you must know. Galaxy tab's rear camera is better than iPad 2's so obviously the quality and size of pics are better than iPad 2's. Accounting this fact we carried on with our test.

Results :

iPad 2 : 2 seconds

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 : 4 seconds


Again marginally better considering size differences.  
Two of the fastest tablets in world today capable of handling anything thrown at them.

Web browsing is definitely better in Galaxy Tab but in case of app downloads and content uploads, apple has a slight edge over Samsung.

You can match rest of the technical specs for complete result. 

However technically and looks wise Galaxy has an upper hand.
